The Two Wolfs

I really like this short story. Within few words, it teaches you one of the most important lessons in life. You are responsible for your life and you decide who you want to be!

An elderly Cherokee tells his grandson about life.

"There is a battle within me," he explained to the young boy.

"It's a fierce struggle between two wolves. One represents evil – embodying anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other wolf symbolizes good – embodying joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same battle rages within you – and within every other individual as well."

After pondering for a moment, the grandson asked his grandfather,

"Which wolf will prevail?".

The wise Cherokee simply responds, "The one you choose to feed."

There is no need to say anything else.

See you in the next blog post.
