Building a Sustainable Company Through Slow Projects
The Natural App is a slow-built app, an intentional digital product, and a long-term sustainable project. It is being created with care, coherence, and a conscious approach to technology — choosing integrity over speed and long-term value over fast growth.
1. Declaration
I could be wrong, the future will tell us, but in this crazy fast world, I decided this project to be veeeery slooooow.
Why?
Maybe it’s a little bit because I love challenges; for sure it’s a lot because I want to do things my own way.
Have you ever worked on your values wheel? I recently discovered it and it resulted that one of my main values are integrity and coherence.
2. Why speed contradicts the philosophy
The Natural App is a project about slowing down, how could I apply that same fast-paced, performative business logic that has lead us to this fast life?
Then, there is not too much to think about! The Natural App will take the time that it will need and I’ll focus on studying and doing things well instead of chasing fast profitability — a logic, I think, that only works in the short term.
This project is so important to me that I need to adopt a long term vision if I don’t want it to vanish in just a few years.
It’s slow entrepreneurship.
Yeah! Ok, now wish me good luck and I hope I’ll be right! Jeje
3. The Pyramid Lesson: Why Slowing Down First Can Help You Build Better
Today I was inspired to write this post after reading the story of the sons of the pharaoh building 2 pyramids. They were challenged to be the fastest to build a pyramid. The first brother started straight away and in 3 years he reached half of the expected hight. The second brother only started building during the 3rd year. He spent all that time looking for a good strategy and built a machine that allowed him to build a pyramid much faster and easier than the brother. Of course, he was the one who completed the pyramid first!
4. A Slow-Built App: The Long-Term Vision Behind The Natural App
I’m not going to spend 3 years just thinking, but I’m going to spend enough time creating:
-
- a slow-built app,
-
- an intentional digital product,
-
- a human-centered, sustainable project,
-
- and most of all, a values-driven product for all of us.
I strongly support this long-term vision project to create a conscious digital product.
The Natural App is not a habit tracker and it’s not a challenge-based app.
Pressure can be useful sometime but in this world we already have enough and I want The Natural App to help you to find and maintain your equilibrium and peace, and help me to maintain them for myself.
From «The Creative Act»:
Patience is required for the
nuanced development of your craft.
Patience is required for taking in
information in the most faithful way possible.
Patience is required for crafting a work that
resonates and contains all that we have to offer.
To resume, a good slow project is based on the clarity of its values, which determines priorities and limit the focus on the important steps.

Why are you building The Natural App slowly?
Because The Natural App is a project about slowing down. Building it slowly allows me to stay coherent with its philosophy and to create a digital product with care, integrity, and long-term vision. Speed can be useful, but in this case it would contradict the very values the app is meant to support.
What does “slow entrepreneurship” mean in this project?
Slow entrepreneurship means choosing long-term sustainability over fast profitability. It’s about studying, learning, and building intentionally instead of rushing to launch. For The Natural App, this approach ensures coherence, depth, and a product that can truly last over time.
Is building a slow-built app a risk?
Maybe. But building a product without integrity and coherence is a bigger risk. A slow-built app reduces burnout, pressure, and misalignment. It allows space to make thoughtful decisions and to create something meaningful rather than something fast and fragile.
Is The Natural App a habit tracker or a challenge-based app?
No. The Natural App is not a habit tracker and it’s not a challenge-based app. It is a conscious digital product designed to support balance, awareness, and peace — not performance, pressure, or competition.
How does a long-term vision benefit users of The Natural App?
A long-term vision means the app is designed to grow with people, not push them. It prioritizes equilibrium, sustainability, and human rhythm. This approach helps users maintain calm, consistency, and a healthier relationship with technology over time.
This post explains why The Natural App is being built as a slow, intentional, long-term project — a conscious digital product aligned with the philosophy of sustainable living.
